Kettleshulme Garden Refurbishment Project
Completed
Now the job has been completed and we really want to thank everyone that made our community garden look amazing, with the flowers you all bought, to weeding watering, planting and mowing.
We however are always looking for volunteers to help maintain the garden and keep it looking amazing for everyone to use and enjoy.
Any time anyone could spare would be greatly appreciated, even if was to pull a weed when you walked through. Or if you could water the plants whilst having a hose pipe fight on the lawn.

Message from Us:
Your Parish Council ‘at Work!’
If you have been down to the playing field in the past few days you may have noticed that our latest major project is underway.
As part of our programme of maintenance and continuous improvements for Kettleshulme Memorial Hall the long awaited work on the patio area and garden has now begun. Our raised patio area has been in desperate need of attention as the wooden sleepers that retain the ground have rotted away and the sub base underneath the flag patio has been undermined and was in danger of collapse. With the increased use of the great facilities we have at the Memorial Hall this was a situation the Parish Council had to address.
Work started on Monday 13th January and despite the inclement weather we are making good progress as you can see from the photographs. The scope of works will include but not limited to, removing the rotten sleepers, building a retaining wall, install underground drainage, relaying the flags, install new fencing with a disabled access through to the playing field and create a new enclosed garden area.
The work to be done is extensive and for safety reasons access through the garden or down the side of the Hall and will not be possible until it all works are completed, this is expected to around 6 weeks from the start date.
Updates and photographs will be posted as the work progresses.
We apologise for any inconvenience but this work is absolutely necessary.
